How to use our Klaviyo app integration

Klaviyo is a powerful tool for communicating with your customers and automating your operations. Check out our integration!

Updated over a week ago

Klaviyo boosts email revenue for 100K+ brands worldwide with quick pre-built automations, live audience segmentation, and customizable campaign templates.

Why?

The Experiences app manages all your time-based bookings. This is important because you can sell future events and know when people are supposed to be there. You can also trigger business offers before, during, and after your customers' booking experiences. By automating offers and communications based on when the customer consumed their experience, you can maximize marketing and upsells, among other business-critical operations.

What?

Our integration unlocks the incredible power of Klaviyo to some or more of the following:

  • Send out a follow-up email to your guests at a pre-determined time after their experience to get reviews or offer upsells.

    • "We hope you had a great time! Please click here to rate the experience and we'd like to offer you a 20% discount on your next experience and a 10% off coupon for any of the kitchenware bundles you used in your workshop."

    • "Thanks for coming in and taking a tour, we'd loved having you! We'd love you to do two things: 1. Tag us with #whiskytastingisfun on your socials when you post your experience photos and 2. share this booking coupon with your friends or use it yourself.

  • Add/update customers to a Klaviyo list and add booking-specific information to those customers.

How?

Using the Klaviyo integration is intuitive and quick. You have to first create your Klaviyo account if you haven't yet. Once you've done that, come back to the Apps section of the Experiences app and input your private Klaviyo API key.

Once you have connected your Klaviyo account to Experiences, here are the basic steps to add a subscriber to your list:

  1. Choose the list in Klaviyo you want to connect to

  2. Add the field properties as you want them to show up in your Klaviyo list

  3. Use the "@" symbol to invoke the Experiences data for each property you have defined

  4. Enable the settings

  5. Test by making an order and confirm in Klaviyo that all is well

Our integration is straightforward, but please watch this video to understand how powerful it can be.
