How to use the Experiences Mobile Check-In app

A brief guide to using our iOS Check-In app to handle ticketed experiences

This article is a brief tutorial on how to use our iOS mobile check-in app. The mobile check-in app requires a ticketed experience using our e-Ticketing app which you can read about by clicking the link below.

Step 1: Install the Experiences Check-In App on your iOS or Android device

First, you'll need to head over to Apple's App store and install the Experiences Check-In App. You can find it by clicking the link below.

Step 2: Scan the QR code in the e-ticketing settings in the Experiences App Admin

Once you install, you'll see a new tab labeled "Settings" that contains the app download links and the login method. You can use either a QR code or a magic link to log in to the check-in app.

When you or a staff member wants to use the app to check in attendees, you'll need to open the app and scan the QR code or click the magic link. Once you've done this, you (or your staff) will be logged in and authorized to view and check in attendees from your mobile device.

The user will be logged in for 30 days or until they log out.

NOTE: The QR code differs from the one your customers will receive with their booking email.

The QR code and magic link can be used to log in to as many iOS devices as needed.

Note: only time slots for ticketed experiences AND contain bookings will be displayed in the check-in app. If you're not seeing any experiences, this means that you don't have any bookings for your ticketed experiences.

Step 3: Manage your tickets

From there, you'll be able to view groups, individual tickets, and all the additional information. You'll also be able to check in whole parties or individual tickets just like you would in the Shopify POS app.

Step 4: Scan Ticket QR Codes

The final step to starting using the check-in app is scanning tickets. This gives you and your staff a super quick and efficient way to check in customers and make sure their tickets are valid.

When a customer shows their ticket, you can click on the middle menu item to pull up the QR code scanner and scan their ticket.

Once the ticket is scanned, that attendee will be marked as checked in.
