Collect payment for a booking you created

Take payment for a booking you created: send an invoice, enter a card, or mark it as paid.

A booking you create in Experiences is a draft order in Shopify until it is paid. You collect payment on the draft order in Shopify.

Open the draft order

  • If you clicked Create and collect payment, Shopify opens the draft order for you.

  • If you clicked Confirm booking, open the draft order from Recent Orders on the dashboard, or from Orders in Shopify. Bookings created in Experiences have an "E" icon on the dashboard.

Choose how the customer pays

  • Send invoice: the customer pays online. Shopify sends them an email with a payment link.

  • Enter credit card: you take the card details now, for example on the phone.

  • Mark as paid: the customer already paid another way, for example with cash or a check.

You can also add a discount to the draft order before the customer pays.

When the customer pays, Shopify changes the draft order to a regular order.
